Group Programs
Trade and professional associations provide far-reaching services to their members. They coordinate lobbying efforts, produce conventions and public information programs, deliver specialized training and education, publish newsletters, magazines or books, and more. All these services open the door to potential liability. Providing these important services puts associations and the individuals who serve them at high risk of facing costly E&O lawsuits--including claims of professional misconduct, negligence, breach of duty, errors, omissions, misstatements or misleading statements. Publishing information creates an additional exposure to claims alleging copyright or trademark infringement. Libel, slander, peer review and employment practices violations are also well within the spectrum of potential claims any association may face.
TCG can offer Association Professional Liability Insurance, which provides an association, its management, board members, committee members and others with financial protection for claims arising from any alleged or actual breach of duty, neglect, error, misstatement or omission arising in the course of duty to the association.
